The Upa Yoga workshop that we offer at Taylor Yoga will typically take place over the course of one or two days, with two sessions of two hours each. Therre is no pre-requisite for this workshop. No prior experience of Yoga is necessary.
Upa Yoga is a simple yet powerful set of 10 practices that activates the joints, muscles, and energy system, bringing ease to the whole body. Based on a sophisticated understanding of the body’s mechanics, Upa Yoga dispels inertia in the body’s energy and brings ease to the whole system. Because of its many immediate and evident benefits, the word “Upa” in Indian languages is commonly used to denote “usefulness.” It is a good starting point for those who are new to Yoga, and it can be used as a preparation for other Yogic practices.
