Classes are held at
Taylor Recreation Center.
From people who have started their journey with Connie:
"I struggle with Rheumatoid Arthritis and had a severe back and neck injury. Like a lot of people, I was curious about yoga. I let fear of the unknown stop me from trying out yoga sooner. After my first yoga session, I was hooked! Connie is a wonderful instructor, I highly recommend yoga to anyone with or without physical challenges searching for a great mind and body workout!"

"I am one of those people who thought yoga was for preppies and snobs, in which I am neither; My friends introduced me to the world of yoga six weeks ago and I am surprised. I never thought I could be so relaxed by stretching. I now can bend over with ease, walk with no leg pain and my posture is much better. Thank you Connie for the soft music, the gentle voice and warm hands."

"I can't express my thanks enough for nurturing and supporting my exploration into a yoga lifestyle! I have been a witness to yoga's impact in life. I felt I was in decent shape doing traditional forms of physical training and didn't see a need to try yoga as a part of my everyday life."
"I was told by my Chiropractor that if my condition having a degenerative disk continued, he would recommend that I have my two lower vertebrae surgically fused together for stability. Once this type of surgery is performed, you lose mobility and there is more pressure on surrounding disks. This news promoted me to try yoga for back care , as I gained strength and flexibility in my lower back and abdominal area, I was slowly able to start jogging again and I am looking forward to doing my first triathlon in years. My chiropractor has noticed an improvement in the muscle tone in my lower back, as well as increase in flexibility. The most noticeable improvement has been my interactions with others and being more aware of my surroundings. I've begun to notice things that I had taken for granted on a daily basis. I have read a few b books about yoga and have been following a raw vegetable and salmon diet. I have more energy now than I did 10 years ago and attribute both to the quality of food and yoga practice.
With Connie's support and gentle influence, I have felt personal growth in myself that is nothing short of enlightening. I can't recommend her teachings and practices enough."

"Yoga Class makes us feel we can expect more from our bodies than we ever expected was possible. It is a mind body connection you become more aware of your breathing, something we take for granted. The class gives you a feeling of peace with your body. Thanks."

"I am just completing my first ten week course in Gentle Yoga. First, I would like to state that I find our instructor, Connie to be most helpful and concerned about the welfare of each student's health in not over-exerting our bodies just for the sake of completing an exercise. We are taught to gear our movement to what our bodies will allow us to do on any given day, This means a lot to me since I have one artificial knee and the other is missing cartilage at this time and I have lower spine compression. Some days are better than others. I find Connie is behind us and keeping a watchful eye on us even when the class is full. Her gentle flow of instruction is relaxing and informative. She sets the mood for the class keeping it calm and enjoyable. As to the benefits, I feel invigorated upon leaving class, my body is relaxed and limber, the class has spurred me to continue to see just how far I can advance even though I have physical limitations. Mentally, it helps me to focus myself and let some of other every day stress and pain go away! I also find benefit with my other activities. With my every day calisthenics and weight lifting, I feel just that little bit stronger and able to go just a little bit further. In conclusion, I will continue with yoga and feel that we have gotten our monies worth from the class and I truly enjoy our instructor and her tutelage. She is gifted with Yoga."

"Surprised! I was talked into taking yoga class by some friends who claimed 'it was great.' I went and came away surprised, surprised at the difference I feel in my body, at the suppleness I feel in my muscles and at myself for not dropping out of this class - Great Job Connie, Keep up the good work."
